Morrison Water Services are looking to recruit a Senior Safety, Health, Environment and Wellbeing Advisor to work on our Thames Water Based Contracts. The contract currently delivers high standards of H&S. Due to increasing workloads and expansion of delivery type we need to enhance the SHEQW delivery even further.
Reporting directly to the Senior SHEQW Manager you will ensure the delivery of SHEQW objectives and compliance with company and Thames Water’s specifications and procedures.
As a Senior SHEQ Advisor you would actively collaborate in all contract SHEQW geographical areas to assist with fulfilment of SHEQW team objectives. You will provide assistance and guidance to operational, management teams. The client on SHEQW performance and provide root cause analysis to aid relevant coaching and feedback.
You will be able to provide accurate, current HSE advice and support to the contract to ensure adherence to requirements, regulatory standards, and current legislation. You will assist in the production of operational documentation – RAMS, CPP, etc . Considering how risks could be reduced and advising on a range of key activities such as confined spaces, work at height, occupational health, COSHH etc.
You will undertake regular inspections/audits of operational sites. This is to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and that contract processes are being properly implemented (out of hours whenever necessary). You will provide effective analysis to aid relevant feedback and coaching.
You will prioritise, investigate and report on all accidents and incidents defining to root causes and ensure actions are completed to prevent re-occurrence. Ensuring that learning points are fed into SHEQ directorate for continued improvement of policy, standards etc.
You will monitor and develop the HSE culture by driving our continuous improvement strategy programme. Identifying ways of ensuring all personnel are aware of the programme and are actively engaged with it. You will support SHEQ programmes as reasonably required to cover staffing needs, provide support and guidance.You will undertake any other duties reasonably requested to meet team and company objectives. You will be assisting in the production and delivery of safety alerts, presentations & briefings where required for awareness campaigns
Do you have a strong background in the Water Industry?
Do you have a recognised Health and Safety qualification? (minimum NEBOSH general)

Do you hold a sound knowledge of working in a CDM environment, and have experience of temporary works?

Health and Safety Advisor required for an exciting opportunity with my client, a global leader in the design, installation and servicing of products for the water industry such as wastewater treatment and flood protection systems.
The Health and Safety Advisor will be contributing to ensuring the SHEQ management systems of company businesses in UK are continuously developed to deliver excellence while promoting a culture that seeks to continuously improve its performance in all aspects of SHEQ matters.
Health and Safety Advisor Duties:
Maintains accreditations such as ISO
Develops and maintaining procedures
Routinely reviews, analyses and reports SHEQ metrics
Monitors and reports progress of corrective actions
Ensures facilities and site inspections throughout the UK are undertaken when required
Undertakes ad-hoc audits of working practices and monitors culture
Provide a knowledge resource on SHEQ matters for all UK staff

National Grid has agreed a 6-year contract with Murphy to deliver tunnelling and shaft work in the second phase of its London Power Tunnels project. The contract is worth £400 million, and work has started as of March 2020 with offices opening in Bermondsey and New Cross, South London.
The £1bn LPT project will see the construction of a 32.5km tunnel which will house electricity transmission cables 30m underground. The new cables will replace three circuits that currently run under the surface or roads between Wimbledon and Crayford. The replacement tunnel will minimise disruption for Londoners, eliminating the need to dig up the existing cape infrastructure.

The Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager our Electricians complete electrical installations on water and wastewater plants and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working with an electrical contractor and working on site installations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of Electricians are outlined as follows:
* Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of “one team” culture.
* Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
* Review of design stage electrical drawings and P&ID in order to validate designs, familiarise with project and spot issues before they arise. Provide input and feedback on design in order to improve the installation efficiency and the quality of the finished installation.
* Complete machine and skid assemblies as required at our workshop .
* Complete site installations of control panels and systems including offload, placement, securing and electrical installation.
* Complete system cable installations including containment installation, cable pulling, instrument installations and terminations. Adhere to ATEX installation regulations as required.
* Source power supplies on existing sites ensuring upstream systems are not overloaded and install protection systems on new supplies to ensure safe isolation.
* Complete system testing in the form of megger testing, loop impedance testing and continuity checks.
* Conduct power-up of MCC’s and complete rotation checks on 3-Phase motors and point to point checks on Inputs/Outputs.
* Complete Health & Safety checks and permits as required for work activities being undertaken.
* Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation, strip-down and repair equipment as necessary to ensure good working order.
* Conduct periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on system installations.
* Complete all test documentation and inspection and test plans (ITPs) and issue back to Project Manager.
* Liaise closely with project delivery engineering team on-site, HSQE advisor and management in order to ensure safe and timely delivery of the electrical installation.
* Organise and facilitate plant shutdowns and/or diversion of flows as required with project delivery team and the customer through permit to work systems.
* Ensure positive experience for the customer and their representatives instilling an ethos of professionalism, collaboration and co-operation.
* Seek to improve the electrical installation process by providing lessons learned feedback and innovative solutions for adoption on future projects.
* Keep appraised of latest standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD).
* Other duties as required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The main knowledge, skills and experience required of Electricians are outlined as follows:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
* Experienced in the electrical installation of equipment and instrumentation.
* Ability to liaise directly with customers and answer customer queries.
* Relevant Electrical qualification.
* Good working knowledge of single and three phase motive power wiring and installations including variable speed drive installation, contactors, overloads, relays, e-stop/isolator circuits, containment installation and cable sizing/selection.
* Good working knowledge of domestic lighting, heating, ventilation, fire, intruder and CCTV installations and commissioning.
