Architectural Technician

Location: Salisbury

Salary: 32-38,000 DOE

An established, design-focused architectural practice in Salisbury is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Technician to join its friendly and supportive studio. The practice delivers high-quality bespoke residential and commercial projects and values technical excellence, collaboration, and thoughtful design throughout all stages of a project.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages
  • Develop planning, building control, and tender information
  • Prepare and manage technical details, schedules, and specifications
  • Assist with coordination of consultants, including structural and MEP engineers
  • Support the delivery of projects through construction, including site visits
  • Respond to technical queries from contractors and consultants
  • Ensure drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and standards
  • Contribute to internal design and technical reviews
  • Research construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Architectural Technology
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential
  • A solid understanding of UK construction methods, detailing, and regulations
  • Experience preparing technical drawing packages for planning and construction
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and good communication skills
  • Previous experience within UK architectural practice is essential
