Daily Duties:
- Lead and manage Principal Designer responsibilities under Building Regulations
- Review designs for technical compliance and provide guidance to project teams
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure regulatory adherence
- Produce reports, risk assessments, and documentation required for approvals
- Provide practical design advice on safety, accessibility, sustainability, and performance
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified architect with demonstrable experience in Building Regulation Principal Designer duties
- Strong knowledge of technical compliance requirements in the built environment
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
