Vacuum Excavator Operator Driver

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Vacuum Excavator Driver/Operator to support no-dig repair and maintenance works across multiple sites. This standalone role involves driving vacuum trucks, operating excavation equipment, protecting underground utilities, and maintaining machinery to a high safety standard.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate vacuum excavation trucks and equipment safely

• Drive to/from sites in line with transport regulations

• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and utility markings

• Protect underground utilities during excavation

• Complete routine vehicle/equipment checks and maintenance

• Fill out job reports, safety checklists, and paperwork

• Communicate with supervisors, ground crews, and clients

• Assist with site setup and cleanup as required

• Adhere to company and H&S procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Experience as an HGV & vacuum excavation operator

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence required

• CPCS Suction Excavator and/or EUSR beneficial

• Good understanding of driving regulations & safety standards

• Ability to work independently and manage workloads

• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

• Mechanical knowledge preferred for minor troubleshooting

• Physically fit and comfortable working in demanding environments
