The role Lead the preparation of estimates for major civil engineering and water projects Take ownership of pricing from early-stage opportunity through to tender submission Develop detailed and commercially robust estimates Review construction methodologies, build-ups, risks and opportunities Work closely with design, engineering, commercial and operational teams Lead and coordinate estimating activities across complex tenders Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness Support the development of winning strategies and value-engineered solutions Present estimates and pricing strategies to senior stakeholders What they're looking for Strong Senior Estimator / Estimator experience within a Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractor Strong civil engineering background Experience across water, utilities, infrastructure or major civils Good understanding of construction methodologies and buildability Strong knowledge of risk, pricing and commercial principles Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary tenders Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive, commercially minded approach with a genuine desire to win work If you don't tick every single box but have strong estimating experience across major civil engineering or infrastructure projects, I'd still be keen to speak.
