We are currently supporting our client in bringing on an experienced Site Agent to join a major SCL tunnelling scheme in Kent. This is a long-term opportunity on a technically challenging project, offering an 18-month contract and an Outside IR35 engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of site operations for the SCL tunnelling works
Management and coordination of site engineers and subcontractors
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
Raising and managing RFIs, technical queries, and design clarifications
Ordering materials and plant in line with programme requirements
Liaising closely with the client, designers, and stakeholders
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and project procedures
Supporting commercial awareness, including records for variations and change
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Agent on tunnelling or major civil engineering projects
Strong knowledge of SCL tunnelling methods
Ability to manage engineers and coordinate multiple work fronts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid
Strong understanding of health & safety and temporary works
