We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK fire protection provider for an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor. This is a nationwide, mobile role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple sites, assessing passive fire protection systems to ensure compliance and safety.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct surveys of passive fire protection measures, including fire stopping, fire dampers, and fire doors.
Inspect, record, and report on installations, identifying defects or non-compliance issues.
Produce detailed survey reports, including photographs and compliance recommendations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding survey findings.
Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and legislation (e.g., BS 476, BS 8214, BS EN 1366, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005).
Travel nationwide, managing schedules efficiently across multiple sites.
Requirements:
Proven experience in passive fire protection surveying, including fire stopping, fire dampers, and fire doors.
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and professional report-writing skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide + stay away
Relevant fire protection qualifications (e.g., FDIS, NVQ, ASFP)
