This Estimator - Fitout & Refurbishment role will suit a commercially minded professional with experience pricing construction, fitout or refurbishment projects who can work closely with clients, suppliers and the wider project team. About the Role The Estimator - Fitout & Refurbishment will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders and estimates, supporting the business through the pre-construction process. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing estimates and tenders for fitout and refurbishment projects Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information Completing detailed material and labour take-offs Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations Working with clients, suppliers and the project team throughout the tender process Identifying opportunities for value engineering and cost control Candidate Background To be successful as an Estimator - Fitout & Refurbishment , you will ideally have previous estimating experience within construction, fitout or refurbishment. This role offers an opportunity to join a successful family run business who are dedicated to delivering projects to an exceptional standard, who look after their people well and create opportunities for progression. The company Our client started up 10 years ago and is growing due to new projects won and repeat business with the current established customer base. They are a cash rich business with a turnover of 20 million and 90 % of the work is on a refurbishment projects. Their sectors they work in Retail, Commercial, Industrial, healthcare (to name a few). Projects range from 50k up to 5 million on refurb and small amount of new build projects. The role As an experienced Estimator/ Surveyor, you will be based out of the modern Birmingham office and will have a good understanding of both estimating and surveying, cost planning, bill of quantities. The split of the role is 70% Estimating and 30% surveying.
