Chartered or Associate Building Surveyor (Public Sector Consultancy)

I'm working with a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy, previously ranked in the Top 35 UK Construction Consultancies and recognised as the 3rd largest SME in the sector. They're urgently seeking a Chartered or Associate-level Building Surveyor (MRICS or AssocRICS) to join their London team.
This is a critical hire for a growing public sector-focused division, and they're looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a client-facing role. You'll be joining a team that delivers across education, healthcare, local authority, and government frameworks, with a strong pipeline of refurbishment, compliance, and capital works projects.

Your new role
  • Deliver building surveying services across public sector frameworks
  • Lead refurbishment and maintenance projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare specifications, manage contracts, and oversee compliance
  • Support APC candidates and contribute to internal development
  • Engage in business development and client retention
What you'll need to succeed
  • MRICS or AssocRICS qualified
  • Strong consultancy experience in the public sector
  • Technical expertise across surveys, defect analysis, and contract administration
  • Confident in client-facing roles and project delivery
  • Able to mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth
