Site Engineer Main Contractor - Dumfries

Start Date: 9th February
Project Value: £20m
Programme: 60 weeks

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading main contractor on a £20m construction project. This is a long-term opportunity working on a 60-week programme, starting on site on 9th February. The project is a large extension and newbuild project to a large industrial building. The building will remain live during the extension project.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and engineering support for steel frame and groundworks packages

Quality Assurance (QA) checks and inspections

Checking and signing off subcontractors works

Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme

Working closely with a directly employed site team, including the Project Manager (PM) and Site Manager (SM)

Assisting with health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

Valid SMSTS

First Aid certification

CSCS card

Proven experience working on steel frame and groundworks projects

Previous experience working for a main contractor

Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach

Ability to work collaboratively within a site management team
