Depot Manager
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 (DOE)
Location: Doncaster
Hours: Mon-Fri, 7am-5pm

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Depot Manager to lead and supervise our client's depot team, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role involves managing Goods In, Stock Rotation, and Goods Out processes while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional service and operational performance.
The Key Responsibilities of the Depot Manager:
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure operational safety and legal compliance of the depot
Maintain and comply with Health & Safety manuals and procedures
Conduct regular audits and engage with third-party H&S providers
Monitor and report on depot equipment and assets
Management of the Depot
Oversee depot operations, employees, subcontractors, and visitors
Ensure security of company assets
Implement systems for warehouse and yard efficiency
Manage Goods In and Goods Out processes, including stock checks and RMA handling
Maintain open communication with all departments for smooth operations
Ensure compliance with driver and vehicle regulations
Keep the depot clean, tidy, and within budget
Reporting
Report incidents, accidents, and operational issues to management
Provide updates on projects and cost implications
Address HR-related matters
Recruitment
Recruit and select depot employees as approved by senior management
General
Lead by example and foster team spirit
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Expertise
Education: GCSE/O Levels
Recognised management qualification (ideal)
Forklift/telescopic licence (ideal)
Valid driving licence
Position Knowledge
Transport compliance (O Licence)
