Labourer / Groundworks / Strimming Operative - CSCS
16.25 per hour 40-50 hours per week
Locations: Grays (where the job is) or from Birchington yard (and travel from there)
We are recruiting 2 x Labourers for groundworks, vegetation clearance and strimming works for a leading construction and landscaping contractor specialising in ground and vegetation clearance.
Job Details:
- Strimming, vegetation and ground clearance works
- Assisting with fencing and general site labouring duties
- Operating petrol strimmers (training provided if needed)
- Working across sites in Grays and Kent
- 3 weeks initial work starting Tuesday 13th, with strong potential for ongoing or temp-to-perm work for the right candidates
Induction:
- Mandatory induction and Drug & Alcohol (D&A) test at the client's yard in Birchington
- Induction to be completed on Friday 9th or Monday 12th
- Induction time paid, unless D&A test is failed
Hours & Travel:
- 6am / 7am starts from the client's yard in Birchington, Kent (CT7 0JL) or on site in Grays
- Candidates can either travel directly to site or meet at the yard and travel in a company vehicle
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence (essential - company vehicles used)
- Full orange PPE, including steel toe cap boots
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work outdoors
This role may continue beyond the initial period if you perform well and are recommended by the site supervisor.
