About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Intumescent Sprayer to join my clients fire-protection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of intumescent coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring compliance with all required thicknesses, safety standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply intumescent paint/coatings to structural steel using airless spray equipment
Measure wet and dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) to meet specification
Ensure proper surface preparation and priming
Maintain equipment and ensure it is used safely and efficiently
Work closely with site supervisors to meet project deadlines
Follow all health & safety regulations and site procedures
Keep accurate records of completed work
Requirements:
Proven experience as an intumescent sprayer (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Strong understanding of fire-protection coating systems
Ability to read and interpret specification sheets
Valid CSCS Blue Card (Minimum)
Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
Airless spray certifications
Experience applying epoxy and other protective coatings
IPAF or PASMA certification
