Job Description
I am recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join a major infrastructure project based in Cumbria. This is a key role supporting the delivery teams to ensure all works are carried out in line with environmental legislation, project standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities include
Supporting the delivery teams with environmental compliance across all work fronts
Preparing and implementing environmental management plans
Carrying out site inspections and audits, identifying any risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Managing environmental reporting and monitoring requirements
Liaising with project teams, subcontractors and regulators
Supporting carbon reduction, waste management and sustainability initiatives
Leading toolbox talks and providing guidance to site teams on best practice
Ensuring documentation, permits and consents are up to date and in line with requirements
Requirements
Experience working as an Environmental Advisor on major infrastructure or construction projects
Good working knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
Ability to work across multiple work fronts in a fast paced environment
Ideally holding an environmental or sustainability related qualification
This is a full time, site based position and candidates must be able to work in Cumbria. You must also have the ability to obtain security clearance or already hold it.
