Buyer - Civil Engineering

I am supporting a Tier One contractor delivering a major long term nuclear civils programme in Cumbria. The project includes complex civil engineering, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks and multi discipline interfaces.

We are looking for a Buyer who can support procurement activity across a wide range of construction materials, subcontract packages and specialist suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a high performing commercial and delivery environment.

Role overview
Manage procurement activities across multiple work streams
Source materials and services aligned to project requirements
Support purchasing, tendering and supplier negotiation
Maintain compliance with procurement governance standards
Work with commercial, engineering and logistics teams
Monitor supplier performance and cost control

What we are looking for
Procurement experience within civil engineering or construction
Strong commercial understanding and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple suppliers across a complex delivery environment
Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Due to the nature of the programme, you must be able to obtain SC clearance.

Package
Salary 40,000 to 45000 plus car allowance 5,060.
