Site Manager Required in the City of London GVR Solutions are representing a highly regarded drylining and interior fit-out contractor based in Essex, recognised for delivering high-quality commercial projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee projects from inception through to completion. Responsibilities of the Site Manager: Manage site operations from mobilisation through to practical completion. Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and material deliveries to maintain programme. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Enforce health and safety procedures, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and company policies. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections. Produce and maintain site diaries, progress reports, and photographic records. Attend client, design team, and subcontractor meetings. Work closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and project teams to resolve commercial and technical issues. Monitor project programmes and identify potential delays, implementing corrective actions where required. Manage quality control inspections and snagging throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate inspections with Building Control and other relevant authorities where necessary. Ensure efficient use of labour, plant, and materials to maximise productivity. Maintain excellent relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Oversee project handovers and ensure all completion documentation is submitted accurately. As a Site Manager you must have/be: Previous experience as a Site Manager within drylining, interior fit-out, or specialist subcontracting. Strong knowledge of drylining systems, partitions, suspended ceilings, SFS, and associated fit-out works. Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on live construction sites. Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and programme management. Strong organisational and leadership skills. Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships. Commercial awareness with the ability to identify project risks and opportunities.
