This role will be on marine works, large concrete works & civils packages Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum; First Aid CSCS Card Driving Licence SMSTS / SSSTS For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below; Experienced in the Civil Engineering sector as a Sub/Site Agent The Role Job Title: Sub Agent Location: Grimsby Job Type: Freelance Reporting to: Project Manager Duties Delivering contract progress and providing formal reports to the contracts manager Ensuring that the project does not exceed tender allowances by communicating with the Surveying team Responsible for managing the quality of the works to ensure compliance with Test and Inspection Plans Responsible for development of temporary work designs Provide support and training to junior and trainee site engineers & company personnel Assisting the Site Agent / Site Manager in the site set up and installing company systems and procedures Promote integrated working with other members within the project to create a one-team ethos, including development of team members Support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence and Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the clients' standards Take full ownership and accountability for cost management of your section of the project, ensuring robust control of Target Cost, actual costs and forecasts through commercial awareness Leading a significant section of the project, ensuring all elements of construction planning are undertaken including working with the designer, reviewing methodology, construction sequencing, programme, resources and logistics, in order to ensure successful delivery of the project Understands moderately complex NEC3 contract requirements, obligations, roles and responsibilities; and ensures contract requirements are communicated to engineers and foremen Communicates and monitors progress of programme information, identifying slippage and implementing recovery strategies Liaises with Agents and Foremen on resource requirements; liaises with and attends weekly meetings with sub-contractors This is a Contract position with a competitive Rate on offer for the successful candidate.
