Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist or Technical Architect to join a well established architectural practice working on long term public sector and MOJ projects. This is not your typical architectural role. Instead of producing detailed design packages from start to finish, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor on behalf of the client, reviewing contractor proposals, preparing tender documentation and ensuring projects meet the required Building Regulations, British Standards and technical performance criteria.Working closely with the Ministry of Justice, you'll play a key role in the delivery of prison and court developments, with a secured pipeline of work for the next five years.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of architecture, is confident dealing directly with clients and contractors, and wants to take ownership of projects within a unique and rewarding environment. Responsibilities Preparing technical briefs, tender documentation and performance specifications Reviewing contractor proposals and technical design information Producing concept and tender stage drawing packages where required Undertaking site visits and inspections across the South East Acting as the technical representative for the client throughout project delivery Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards and technical requirements Managing relationships with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders Leading technical discussions and resolving design and construction queries Requirements Qualified Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician or Technical Architect Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction Experience preparing technical drawing packages and specifications Confident client-facing with excellent communication skills Comfortable challenging technical proposals and making informed decisions Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the South East Revit and/or AutoCAD experience This is an opportunity to join a respected architectural practice with a long standing reputation and a secure pipeline of public sector work.
