HSEQ Advisor

Glasgow-based Projects across Scotland & Northern England
Full-time Permanent

Are you passionate about safety, quality, and doing things the right way? Our client, a highly respected Civil Engineering Contractor based in Glasgow, is looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join their growing team.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across rail and general civil engineering projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a forward-thinking organisation that genuinely values HSEQ excellence. Rail experience is welcomed but not essential the right attitude and experience matter most.

You ll be part of an established and supportive HSEQ team, working closely with project and leadership teams to ensure best practice is embedded at every stage of delivery.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Championing a positive Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality culture across sites and leadership teams
  • Providing clear, accurate HSEQ reporting in line with legislation and best practice
  • Preparing and maintaining key documentation including CPPs, EMPs, RAMS and associated records
  • Ensuring consistent application of the HSQE Management System across all projects
  • Supporting compliance through training coordination, assessments and competency reviews
  • Carrying out site audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Leading or supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis and reporting
  • Contributing to behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement programmes

What s Required of You

  • Proven experience in a civil engineering environment (rail experience advantageous)
  • Strong background managing HSQE on live projects
  • Environmental management experience (desirable)
  • NEBOSH Certificate (minimum requirement)
  • IOSH, CSCS and PTS qualifications (desirable)
  • Confidence influencing leadership teams and driving positive change
  • Proactive mindset with a genuine commitment to safety and quality
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland and Northern England
