As the Estimator, you will prepare estimates and complete pricing work in support of tender submissions, proposals for new business opportunities and existing contracts. You will meet the required ‘Tender Date’ of each new enquiry and analyze and compile accurately priced submissions ensuring that all estimates cover the requirements of the contract. You will enjoy representing the company by dealing with Customers, Suppliers, Consultants and Stakeholders and be a champion promoter of Health & Safety in an estimating function. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES; * Estimating * Assist in defining specifications to provide better production, cover costs and better suitability for the customer and company * Prepare estimates in support of tender submissions and proposals based on realistic prices for the project * Carry out analytical comparisons of unit rates to ensure the company obtains competitive quotations * Undertake site visits in preparation of tenders * Advise the delivery team on all aspects of the estimating process * Use estimating knowledge in pricing similar work for key customers ensuring consistency * Conduct job cost studies and analyse feedback results * Assist in the negotiation of suitable project amendments to mitigate risks * Assist in determining the level of risk associated with the project * Ensure that all risks are identified and costed appropriately * Review the pricing of principal suppliers * Project delivery * Supplier procurement * Assist in agreeing amendments to sub-contracts * Participate actively and constructively in project reviews * Monitor & control contract cost * Develop & maintain effective relationships This is a great opportunity to strategically align position yourself within your career by joining an ambitious company spearheading growth on a national scale.
