Job Title: Sales & Project Consultant About the Role Alpha Recruitment is seeking an ambitious and driven Sales & Project Consultant to join our growing commercial team. This is a unique role that combines business development, account management, estimating and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities while managing projects from initial enquiry through to successful completion. Due to the specialist nature of our business, previous experience within industrial storage or fit-out is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, commercial mindset and willingness to learn. Full training will be provided on our products, systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities. Generate leads through networking, referrals and prospecting. Attend client meetings and undertake site surveys. Build long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. Identify opportunities to cross-sell Group's full range of services. Project & Commercial Management Manage projects from enquiry through to completion. Prepare quotations and tender submissions. Interpret client requirements and develop suitable solutions. Coordinate with internal design, estimating and operational teams. Maintain regular communication with clients throughout project delivery. Technical & Design Carry out site surveys and measurements. Complete layouts and design proposals. Work alongside cross-department CAD designers and estimators. Develop an understanding of warehouse layouts, racking systems, mezzanine floors, office fit-outs, building regulations and construction solutions Client Management Provide excellent customer service. Manage existing client accounts. Attend project meetings where required. Ensure projects are delivered in line with client expectations. Estimator (Assistant Senior) Location: Warrington or Salford Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 Package: £5,000 Car Allowance, Mileage, Travel Expenses, etc. Project Types: Commercial Buildings, Cat A & Cat B Office Fit Outs, Industrial Buildings, Warehouses The Role We are looking for an Estimator to join the pre-construction team, working alongside the Senior Estimator, Pre-Construction Director and wider commercial team on commercial and industrial fit out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Projects range in value from £100k to £3m, with typical programme durations of 5 weeks to 5 months. The role is open to Assistant through to Senior level, with responsibilities and salary reflecting experience. The company is open to candidates from different sectors who have the right character, attitude and passion to develop within the business. Duties Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for a mixture of competitive tenders, repeat client price work and framework opportunities. Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation. Complete take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates. Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Build up rates and pricing for labour, materials, plant and subcontractor packages. Prepare preliminaries, overheads and profit allowances. Review and compare subcontractor and supplier tenders to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Identify risks, exclusions and opportunities within tender packages. Assist with tender queries and clarifications throughout the pre-construction process. Attend site visits, client meetings and tender meetings where required. Work closely with the Pre-Construction Director, Senior Estimator, Quantity Surveyors and wider project team to develop tenders through to submission. Take increasing responsibility for the full pre-construction process as experience develops. Requirements BSc in Quantity Surveying, HND or HNC in Construction would be preferred, although relevant estimating experience will also be considered. Experience working in an estimating or pre-construction role within construction. Candidates from different construction sectors will be considered, with the right character, attitude and willingness to develop. Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, labour and subcontractor packages. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Strong attention to detail with good commercial awareness. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders at different stages. Full UK Driving Licence.

We seek a talented Mechanical Estimator to work on containment installation schemes of mechanical services ranging between 10M- 20M+ Candidates highly sought are those with commercial or even industrial mechanical estimating experience into buildings, although we are happy to consider those from a fit out or construction related estimating background. Typical contracts may include offices, data centres, warehouses, distribution centres and all manner of industrial sheds for manufacture as well as healthcare / hospitals. You will have direct experience in providing detailed and completed tenders including installation times and then review projects after completion for quality and accuracy on future projects. As an already proven Mechanical Estimator, you will produce accurate take offs / measures of tenders and be experienced in using estimating software to ensure that the prime cost of the project is fully understood. Candidates called for will have experience in vetting suppliers and subcontract enquiries whilst working with specialist subcontractors and assessing quotations. You will be a 'finger on the pulse' Estimator and gain up to date knowledge of the market place regarding the level of pricing, competition and volume of work to ensure that competitive estimates are consistently made.
