Mandatory Requirements
Ability to gain baseline security clearance, if not already held (will be able to work towards this within the organisation or prior to commencement of contract)
Suitable Engineering Degree (Class 2.1 or above) in line with technical specialism
Working towards a recognised professional qualification or already holds one
At least 5 years suitable experience within the field of civil engineering
Good communication skills
Management and leadership of a small delivery team.Preferred existing experience
Leading a small team producing detailed design solutions in a design and build environment to solve civil engineering challenges which generate mutual agreeable outcomes.
Supervision of others carrying out civil engineering design including checking of others output and developing skills within the team
Able to work independently and deliver own solutions when required however, prefers collaborative approaches to delivery
Delivering Utilities related projects
Responsible for defined parts of design projects and individual projects, including the commercial aspects of these elements / projects, generating Budgets and Programmes to deliver these defined sections of work and monitoring progress against them and reporting to project leadership
Co-ordination with other design leads including with other disciplines
Analytical, creative and conceptual thinking and evaluation of options to make decisions.
Ensure solution are buildable, safe and sustainable
Working in regulated industry (preferably Nuclear Sector)
Knowledge of AutoCAD packages for design and use of suitable design software packages spreadsheets and GIS
Good general office and engineering skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Good communication skills, written, spoken and also via drawing / sketchesDeveloping interest
Seeks creative and innovated solutions
Encourages collaborations with others both internally and externally

Working as the successful Cost Engineer you will be doing a support role supporting the cost control of the Nuclear Power Frameworks. You will be reporting to the Manager of Project Controls and performing cost analysis, cost management and cost control activities.

*Develop project cost plans.
*Report plan vs actual and forecasts and identify and explain variances.
*Manage the Change process. Identify corrective action plans and manage their
