Our client is one of the UK's leading infrastructure contractors, working nationwide on iconic projects and frameworks.
Due to continual growth and successfully winning a number of new frameworks and projects, our client is looking to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor from an infrastructure background, with rail framework experience an advantage.
As the successful candidate, you will be crucial in the support of a 50+ million package of work over the next few years in the South East.
Project Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the robust commercial management of a variety of projects. This includes overseeing financial performance, managing costs, conducting procurement processes, and maintaining accurate financial logs and reports.
- You will work closely with customers and stakeholders to support successful project delivery, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and achieving business plan commitments.
- Have ownership and responsibility for contract administration for your own projects through to Final Accounts.
- Set and manage budgets ensuring all costs are correctly allocated.
- Provide procurement support to ensure each project is delivered safely, timely, at the least cost and to optimal quality.
- Preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities, CVR's, subcontract accounts and invoicing.
Project Quantity Surveyor requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or construction related qualification with relevant experience.
- Quantity Survey experience within civil engineering environment, working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
- NEC Contracts experience is essential.
- Experience working on a Network Rail Framework is advantageous.
- Experience interfacing and working collaboratively with project, engineering teams, finance and procurement teams.
- Conversant with different types of Estimating Software and generally strong IT Skills.
