Job Title: Air Conditioning (AC) Engineer Installation & Service
Salary: £35,000 £50,000 (DOE)
Location: Newcastle and working away
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team, specialising in both installation and service work across a variety of AC systems. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services to commercial and residential clients throughout South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain a wide range of air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF and split systems.

  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner.

  • Conduct routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company requirements.

  • Liaise with customers professionally, providing clear explanations and excellent service.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports and job sheets.

  • Travel to multiple client sites across South Yorkshire and occasionally further afield.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • FGas Category 1 certification (essential).

  • Proven experience working on VRV, VRF, and split-type systems.

  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and a professional approach.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.

  • Experience working in commercial environments.

  • Knowledge of other HVAC systems.
