THE POSITION They are actively looking to recruit a number of individuals at Intermediate Quantity Surveyor level to get involved in taking full responsibility of projects from inception to completion. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to take full client ownership and work on projects across a range of sectors. Value of projects can range into the billions (£). The projects will be within the Rail, Aviation, Highways, and Water sectors. Our client are a leading privately owned civil engineering contractor with strong workloads in highways, infrastructure and rail. On the back of controlled expansion they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their regional office in Cambridge - covering Northampton, Leicester and Milton Keynes (the role will be office based in Cambridge). The Senior QS will financially manage highways, s278 and general civils schemes up to £10m in value. The SQS will be responsible for: * Contract analysis * Identification, valuing,and pricing of extra works * Pricing variations to maximise revenue * Preparation of monthly reports * Cashflow cost reporting * Management of client final account To be considered you'll have a background working with a civils contractor in a similar role. The Role This reputable company are on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their efficient team in their highways sector in order to carry out a portfolio of contracts ranging from £1 Million to £10 Million. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be in charge of works to be carried out on their Section 278, Section 38 and Section 104 Infrastructure Contracts. These contracts are done using a number of different contract types including a bespoke type, the NEC contract type, ICC and even JCT at times. Knowledge of many different contracts is key. You would find yourself joining a strong team of 8 Quantity Surveyors.
