About the role:
Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for precision and progress? We're looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in our successful innovative project teams in delivering high-quality civil engineering construction projects. You'll be at the heart of commercial operations-managing valuations, sub-contract procurement, cost control & reporting, and change control/contract administration.
Location: Leeds
What we will expect from you:
- Preparation and submission of interim payment applications and project final accounts
- Knowledge and experience in using civil engineering standard forms of contract including NEC3 and NEC4
- Notification of early warnings and playing a key role in risk reduction
- Notification of compensation events
- Assessing and submitting quotations for compensation events
- Procurement of sub-contractors in line with the project programme
- Contract administration of sub-contracts
- Assessment of sub-contractors' payment applications, issue of sub-contract payment notices and making payments to sub-contractors
- Final Account agreement of sub-contract accounts
- Measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required
- Accurate production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the company commercial reporting timetable
- Working closely with the Esh project team to monitor progress and to identify and effectively manage risks & opportunities
- Working together with the Esh project team to ensure that good quality & accurate site records are kept and maintained

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a relevant HND or equivalent in quantity surveying/civil engineering
- Experience of working on civil engineering projects
