Our client is currently looking to recruit Quantity Surveyors for their Piling Division for projects/ works. Reporting into a Senior and/or Managing QS, the work type will be Piling works in the residential industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate level QS that might be ready to jump into a Senior position within 1-2 years. Intermediate QS A Tier 1 Contractor based in South London, is seeking an ambitious Intermediate QS to join them and work as part of their team on projects based both in the London fit out market and internationally. You will be an intermediate QS with 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role (scheme values may be lower). You will work across the Central London and international portfolio which includes: Superior specification residential Commercial office spaces High profile public spacesIdeal candidates will have: 2-3 years experience working as a QS or Assistant QS At least some tender stage experience Strong understanding of project life cycles from tender stage to hand over and completion of final accounts. Senior Quantity Surveyor/ QS Sussex Contract or PAYE My client a well established Groundworks, remediation and civil engineering contractor are seeking a strong QS/SQS with a background in groundworks & civil engineering. They are open to either candidates on a permanent basis or on a freelance contract. The right candidate will have experience working for a similar sub-contractor and be able to ensure that the jobs are run to budget, manage the daily costings of the job and ensure payments, claims and variations are made in a timely manner. Working closely with the site team you will be responsible for Monthly reports to the Commercial manager, attending regular site meetings, ensure all labour costs are agreed and approved with the site team. This can be an immediate start for the right candidate if they are available but are also willing to wait a notice period if required

FREELANCE ASSISTANT QS – SURREY – FIT OUT/REFURBISHMENT UP TO £250 PER DAY LEADING MAIN CONTARCTOR Our client are one of London's leading and most respected Commercial Refurb & Fit-Out specialists. They work across all key sectors, ranging from major global brands through to hotel & leisure and high-residential markets. My client are actively on the lookout for candidates who want to grow and progress on to become senior members of the team. They are a big believer in nurturing and training people early to get the best out of people. They are looking to bring on an Assistant QS who can progress on to an Intermediate level and then on to Senior level. The Role: Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following; • Prepare and dispatch tender packages to subcontractors • Set up job files and all necessary records • Collate subcontractor tenders and in consultation with the Contracts Manager, award subcontracts • In conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, check and approve subcontractor claims for payment • Liaise with subcontractors to resolve queries • Assess and cost variations to contract • Update and maintain records • Assist with contract valuations • Assist with monthly cost/value reconciliations • In conjunction with the Senior Project Surveyor, submit and agree final accounts To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes: • BSc in Quantity Surveying, or in the process of obtaining this • Have a minimum 2 years demonstrated commercial UK experience • Have excellent communication skills • Must be computer literate • A minimum of 2-3 years in the commercial fit out and refurbishment markets.
