Sub Agent Major Infrastructure Project (Inverness)

Freelance 50 hrs per week Mon Fri Accommodation Provided 6-Month Contract Immediate Start

This is a site in Inverness!
An established Tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join their team on a high-profile infrastructure scheme in the Highlands. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a long-term energy project that will enhance resilience across the regional network.

The Role

You will support the Site Agent and Project Manager in the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme. This position suits a proactive Sub Agent with strong experience in civil engineering and the confidence to coordinate multiple work fronts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing on-site operations, subcontractors and workforce activities
  • Oversee progress, quality and compliance with project specifications
  • Ensure the highest standards of health & safety are maintained
  • Coordinate daily planning, RAMS, permits and site paperwork
  • Report programme and productivity to the Site Agent and Project Manager
  • Maintain effective communication across site teams and stakeholders
Requirements
  • CSCS and SMSTS (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer on civils projects
  • Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex work scopes to tight timescales
  • Available for an immediate start
The Project

The scheme involves a significant package of civil engineering works within an energy infrastructure environment. Activity includes civil construction, groundworks, and installation of specialist infrastructure to support the reinforcement of the local grid.
