Architectural Technician

Location: Essex

Salary: 28-35,000

A progressive and growing architectural studio is seeking a motivated and skilled Architectural Technician to become an integral part of its expanding team in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to join the practice during a period of growth and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, enthusiastic about architecture and construction, and keen to continue developing their skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate must have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car.

The Role Will Include:
Attending site visits and client meetings to assist with project delivery
Producing technical drawings and 3D drawings to support planning submissions
Preparing technical packages for Building Regulations approval
Coordinating information with external consultants
Supporting the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
Assisting with project administration and general office duties
Representing the practice at networking and industry events when required

What They Are Looking For:
Degree, HND or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related subject
Full, clean driving licence and access to a car
Experience working on UK residential projects
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction methods
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D software such as SketchUp
Good understanding of the UK planning process
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
