We are seeking a skilled Graduate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in London, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings and reports under supervision of the Senior Engineer.
  • Have or develop your knowledge of codes and standards such as Highways, Water Industry and Drainage Act.
  • Aid project design through the full lifecycle of Civil Infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project design and planning.
  • Attend meetings with clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.
  • Have in place and maintain your professional Development IPD or CPD expectations.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • One year of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD and desirable Civil 3D, Microdrainage / Info Drainage PDS and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
