On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
Feasibility studies of clients requests and analysing sub-contractors quotations
Preparation and agreeing variation accounts
Preparing and agreeing of interim valuations and final accounts
Issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors and provide evidence for resolution of disputes
Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedure
Coach and mentor any trainee/junior Surveyors who join the business
Required to be successful as the Senior Quantity Surveyor;
Degree qualified in either Quantity Surveying or an industry related qualification
Experience of working within Highways, Civil Engineering or the Surfacing sectors
Proficient with NEC forms of contracts
Willing to travel as and when required

We're working with one of the UK's leading principal contractors who specialise across a multitude of sectors including, civil engineering, highways and infrastructure. Due to their current level of business and their continuous expansion plans they are looking to recruit for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Hampshire region to join their expanding commercial team.
In return our client is offering you as the Senior Quantity Surveyor a starting salary in the region of £65,000 per annum plus a company car allowance, an enhanced pension scheme, private medical insurance, a performance related bonus scheme and 25 days + stats holiday entitlement.
Key Responsibilities as the Senior Quantity Surveyor;
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives
Preparing forecasts, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
On-site measurement and measurement of drawings as required

Would you like to work for a thriving, specialist civils, marine and infrastructure privately owned contractor delivering a range of interesting projects nationally? Do you enjoy the flexibility of working at home with occasional office and site visits working as part of an established pre construction and estimating team.
Due to continued success over the past two years of this £50M t/o region working as a Senior Estimator you will be further contributing towards achieving a full 2022 order book, this people orientated contractor is seeking to expand its preconstruction team whilst offering the opportunity to further develop your estimating and tendering skills.
Prior experience & qualifications should include most of the following areas;
NEC3/4 Project & contract experience
Understanding of Water/Marine/Public Realm civil engineering projects
Some exposure to estimating/tendering
Experience working as an Estimator / Senior Estimator / Principal Estimator
Experience using Causeway or comparable estimating software
A relevant civil or coastal engineering qualificationThis contractor is considered a specialist in their field, has high levels of retention within their team, a formidable reputation across core bluechip sectors.
