Position

Access Talent Group are currently working with a fast growing and award winning Civil & Structural Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy. They are currently organically growing due to wealth of projects as such are looking to bring in a Structural Engineer or Technician to join a team in the Southern region of the UK.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • 3 years' experience in a consultancy
  • AutoCAD and Revit knowledge
  • TEDDS/Tekla Structures/MasterSeries experience
  • Design in all materials - Steel, Concrete, Timber, Masonry
  • Manage projects Eurocodes and BS knowledge
  • Building regulations/NHBC working knowledge
  • 3 years' experience in a consultancy
  • Desire to learn Revit if not already familiar
  • Detail in all materials (timber, steel, blockwork, etc.)
  • Opportunity to design if they want to
  • Building regulations/NHBC working knowledge
  • Work in a design environment with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities
  • Design of structural elements in all materials to current standards and practices
  • Prepare calculation packs for submission to local authorities
  • Prepare NBS specifications
  • Assist in the development of other members of staff, providing assistance and knowledge to enable progression
  • Demonstrate excellent written and face-to-face communication, with clear and concise presentation
  • Work closely with both Senior Staff and Managing Director on the proposal of new projects coming into the business
  • Full responsibility and Project management of technical schemes
  • Help prepare for, attend and record internal and client project meetings
  • Co-operate with the Quality Management System through undertaking administrative activities
  • Carry the company brand and reputation through business development and marketing input
  • Work within a design team responsible for the design of foundations and structures
  • Work in a design environment with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities
  • Draft and contribute to the design in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes
  • Draft and contribute to the design of foundations and structures in accordance with relevant codes of practice
  • Sound knowledge of building regulations
  • Be responsible for the production of consistent high-quality drawing packages, considering specific client requirements
  • Provide technical input and support for reports and technical notes
  • Co-operate with the Quality Management System through adhering to approval processes and undertaking administrative activities
  • Carry the company brand and reputation through business development and marketing input
