We are seeking a skilled Graduate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in London, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate about learning and developing towards chartership.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, drawings and reports under supervision of the Senior Engineer.
- Have or develop your knowledge of Codes and standards such as Highways, Water Industry and Drainage Act.
- Aid project design through the full lifecycle of any Civil Infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project design and planning.
- Attend meetings with clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.
- Maintain your professional Development IPD or CPD expectations.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- One year of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD and desirable Civil 3D, Microdrainage / Info Drainage PDS and other design tools but not essential.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
