Key Responsibilities
As Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality consultancy services across a varied project portfolio. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing and delivering a broad range of building surveying services, including condition surveys, defect analysis, feasibility studies and technical due diligence
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
  • Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Acting as a key client interface, building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Overseeing contract administration, including monitoring works on site and managing contractor performance
  • Providing professional advice across education, commercial, healthcare and other sectors
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the wider consultancy
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice

Requirements:
This company is looking for a motivated and technically strong Senior Building Surveyor who can thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Ideal applicants will bring:

  • MRICS accreditation or working towards it
  • A relevant Building Surveying degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical expertise in building surveying
  • Proven ability to manage programmes and budgets effectively
  • Experience in relevant sectors such as education, healthcare or commercial would be ideal
  • Excellent client-facing skills and relationship-building capability
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams (advantageous)
