About the Role
Regional Recruitment Services are proud to be working with a well-established specialist contractor within the cleaning and ventilation sector. Due to ongoing growth, our client is seeking a Hygiene Technician Team Leader to join their expanding Hygiene division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hygiene technician looking to step into a leadership role, or an existing team leader seeking a stable, long-term position with a company that invests heavily in training and professional development.
You will be working with major hotel groups, restaurant chains, and well-known food brands across the UK supporting them in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance. As members of BESA, the client provides full training to ensure all technicians meet industry-recognised standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client sites nationwide to carry out specialist hygiene services
- Clean ventilation systems including canopies, ductwork and fan units in line with TR19 standards
- Install access panels where required to support safe maintenance and compliance
- Work safely in confined spaces and at height, following site-specific protocols
- Lead, support and motivate the onsite team to ensure quality and efficiency
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout each project
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to all health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- General Hygiene Technician (GHT) qualification with demonstrable TR19 ductwork cleaning experience (essential)
- Experience working at height and in confined spaces (advantageous)
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours shifts typically begin late afternoon/early evening and may require overnight stays
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to delivering high service standards
