The projects is a large residential development and you will be Number 2 on site and be responsible from 2nd fix onwards

The company undertakes a variety of rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, steel framing systems, insulated render and wall panelling projects across the South. Projects range in value from £200k to £5 million. They have been awarded several projects located between Southampton and London that are due to start at the end of September 2020. The company is looking for a junior level Site Manager with 2 years Cladding or Facades experience. This is an excellent opportunity for either an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager who is looking to step up and manage their own site. The Role * You will report to a visiting Contracts Manager and in turn be responsible for all site activities. * You will manage all labour and subcontractors to ensure work standards are maintained. * You will oversee health and safety and ensure safe social distancing is maintained. * You will be responsible for calling off materials and maintaining programmes. * You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure delivery in a timely and efficient manner. They specialise in large, greenfield developments, complex brownfield regeneration schemes and high rise apartments. They currently seek a Assistant Site Manager to run a large housing development near Basingstoke. Responsibilities * Assisting the Site manager in their duties * Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets * Managing the day to day operation from foundation to completion, and the critical paths for labour, materials and plant including material lead times * Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme * Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates * Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure * Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process * Ensures the development pass internal and external inspection processes * Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to * Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others * Monitoring and controlling the quality of production, and approve stage completions to payments to sub-contractors * Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation * Ensure customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site Experience/Qualifications The ideal candidate will currently be working for another large developer or social housing contractor on volume build, fast paced projects.
