Job Description

Robert Hurst Group are seeking an experienced Air-Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and expanding HVAC company. This is a great opportunity for a capable engineer looking for long-term stability, ongoing development and involvement in a wide range of Commercial and Industrial projects.

You will be responsible for installing a range of air-conditioning systems, working from first fix through to completion. The role involves working independently on site as well as coordinating with project teams, mentoring junior engineers/apprentices when required, and participating in an out-of-hours rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of commercial and industrial air-conditioning systems

  • Delivering work to current industry and quality standards

  • Supporting and guiding less experienced team members on site

  • Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics and installation plans

  • Ensuring professional communication and customer care

  • Adhering to company procedures, compliance requirements and health & safety standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working with AC systems

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in refrigeration/air conditioning

  • Strong technical understanding of AC and refrigeration equipment

  • Ability to work from technical drawings and diagrams

  • Confident working independently or as part of a wider team

  • F-Gas certification essential

  • Experience using field-based service or job management apps

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Own hand tools

  • Able to pass a basic DBS check if required
