Position: Senior Planner Location: Chelmsford with hybrid working available Salary Guide: 65-75k (neg DOE), car/allowance, and excellent benefits Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water infrastructure projects across Essex & Suffolk. The Role: Directly reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, your responsibility is to assist other members of the project teams to develop, monitor, progress & report on tender & contractual programmes. This includes ensuring that both the operational & commercial members of the team are fully briefed on the critical activities & risks of their projects at all times. You will be required to work closely with the commercial department to monitor costs, take ownership of several project plans, drive the project team to deliver to the plan & challenge any delay & deviation. Lead, coach & guide Junior Planners, you'll be viewed as an approachable planning expert who is keen to pass on experience & knowledge to develop others & drive performance improvement. Responsibilities: Work with the estimating team to prepare programmes from tender documentation, ensuring that they are compliant & realistic. Prepare programmes in accordance with contract requirements, update them & submit them for acceptance as contractually required. Assist with the delivery of collaborative planning workshops. Lead the development of construction phase 4D planning. Maintain a baseline programme & measure progress against it. Liaise with project teams to ensure consistency of key assumptions on methodology & outputs. Identify opportunity & key risks during the planning process. Gather, collate & distribute progress information & the reasons for deviations/delays. Monitor & analyse changes to scope & revise programmes accordingly. Attend progress/project meetings & present programmes for review. Attend site meetings to gather progress information. Report programme issues to the Senior Planning Manager & site management teams. Distribute regular look ahead programmes. Ensure an as-built programme is available at project closedown. Maintain knowledge of site processes & costs. Record the effects of changes on site & the effects on the contract programme. Assist with the monthly progress report in line with customer requirements. Build & maintain relationships with the Senior Planning Manager, Project Manager, commercial team & client representatives. Assist with the administration of Primavera P6 planning software. Deliver planning software training to new users when required. Position: Project Manager Location: Aylesford or Winchester with hybrid working available Salary: 70-80k, car/allowance, bonus and excellent benefits package Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting eight long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances. The Project: A Water Supply Works, operated by Southern Water in Kent, is undergoing a major 65m upgrade. Improvements include refurbishing the low-lift pumping station, enhancing granular activated carbon filters, upgrading chemical dosing, and increasing raw water storage capacity to improve resilience The Role: You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager and your role will be to manage the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction Experience: Promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted work force. Ensuring that the BMS is implemented at all stages throughout the project delivery process, from tender handover to final completion. Maintain good client relationships at all levels. Maintain the company's reputation on a project by ensuring good relationships are maintained with joint venture partners and suppliers. Ensuring that sufficient trained personnel are available for the project and that they are aware of their individual responsibilities. Planning projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects Ensuring that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place and approved prior to commencement of activities. Ensuring at contract completion that all records referred to in the PEP are complete and available. Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and approximate costs identified. Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates. Have detailed working knowledge and experience of project management practices from scheme conception through to end user acceptance. Understanding and implementing the quality, safety and environmental policies and targets Being aware of the need to satisfy customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers' perception and satisfaction. Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and wastewater design and build projects. Experience: Essential: Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or in construction, commercial, or civil engineering related discipline. Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives. Position: Planner Location: Peterborough, Norwich or Lincoln with hybrid working available Salary: 50-60k (Neg DOE) plus car/allowance and excellent benefits package Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances. The Role: Working within a Framework JV made up of seven partner companies and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. You will take ownership of the project plan, drive the project team to deliver to the plan and challenge any delay and deviation. Leading, coaching and guiding a small team of more junior planners, you'll be viewed as an approachable planning expert who is keen to pass on experience and knowledge to develop others and drive outperformance amongst the team. Responsibilities: Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team in accordance with Alliance requirements ensuring methodology is consistently followed Ensure project plans capture the full project scope and resources are considered and loaded as required Pro-actively identify opportunities and risks in the plan and monitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on any potential changes Develop 4D animations of the project plan to aid digital rehearsal of the project construction. The Role: Our client is looking to strengthen their Planning team with a Senior Planner for the Anglian Water Region. Whilst leading and developing a team towards planning excellence, you'll ensure the project plan and programme are kept on track with any mitigating circumstances successfully overcome. By using your knowledge and expertise in planning, you'll build the trust and confidence of key stakeholder by delivering project updates backed up by value- added data which can contribute to delivery improvements as they progress.
