Job Title:Groundworker
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Location: Basildon
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00
Pay: 18.00 - 19.00 per hour
We are currently looking for an experienced Ground worker to join a respected property maintenance contractor on a temporary basis, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance works to social housing properties in and around Basildon.
Responsibilities:
Prepare work areas, clear debris, and set out ground levels according to plans.
Assist in marking out boundaries, utilities, and work zones.
Excavate, pour, and compact foundations, footings, and base layers.
Construct drainage systems, manholes, soakaways, and service trenches.
Lay kerbs, edgings, paving slabs, block paving, and prepare areas for tarmac.
Install fences, boundary walls, access paths, driveways, and garden landscaping.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- Ability to pass a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
