Depot Manager CBL Plant Hire (Thatcham, Berkshire)
CBL Plant Hire, based in Thatcham, Berkshire, operates a busy and successful plant hire, sales and service depot, supported by an adjoining sales yard supplying new construction equipment across the South of England and Wales.
We re seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead this thriving operation. The role will oversee all aspects of depot performance, including hire, service, and sales functions, while managing a dedicated team of engineers, drivers, and office staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage depot operations to achieve commercial and customer service goals
- Ensure efficient coordination between hire, service, and sales activities between both yards.
- Drive performance, safety, and compliance standards
- Support and develop a strong, motivated team
Ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in plant hire, construction equipment, or related industry
- Strong leadership and operational management skills
- Commercial awareness with a focus on customer satisfaction
