We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a social housing project based in Cardiff, starting in the New Year. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day site operations, ensure works are completed to a high standard, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, the client, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily running of the construction site, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to specification.
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities in line with the project programme.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce all health & safety policies and procedures.
Monitor progress, oversee quality control, and resolve any issues or delays that arise.
Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and local authorities as required.
Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, permits, and site diaries.
Ensure materials are ordered and delivered in line with project timelines.
Uphold company standards and ensure compliance with building regulations and project requirements.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or social housing projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety regulations, and site coordination.
SMSTS (or SSSTS), CSCS card, and First Aid certification (preferred).
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain proactive site control.
