Location: Cardiff

Salary: 35-43,000 DOE

A dynamic, award-winning architecture studio is looking for a passionate and experienced Architect to join its central Cardiff studio. The successful candidate will lead full-lifecycle construction projects across a diverse and impactful portfolio- ranging from education, commercial, blue-light, to industrial sectors, and work within a collaborative and socially responsible practice that values innovation, integrity, and sustainable design.

Daily Duties

  • Lead the design and delivery of architectural projects through the full construction lifecycle
  • Manage project teams, coordinating personnel and consultants to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Produce technical and construction documentation, applying strong technical knowledge
  • Use Revit to model and develop architectural designs
  • Work confidently with various procurement routes, including traditional and design & build
  • Guide projects through RIBA Plan of Work stages, ideally from inception to contract administration
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, including contracts, building codes, and building regulations

Ideal Candidate

  • At least several years' post-qualification experience with leadership responsibilities on architectural projects
  • Strong design capability supported by deep technical understanding of construction and detailing
  • Proficient in Revit with good BIM awareness
  • Experience delivering projects through both traditional and design & build procurement routes
  • Excellent client-facing and commercial awareness skills
  • A collaborative team player with strong motivation, delegation, and people-management abilities
  • Ideally experienced across all RIBA Plan of Work stages
  • Solid understanding of contracts, regulations, and industry codes
