Maintenance Surveyor

Cambridge

£40,529 per annum plus car allowance £1,850 per annum

Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced repairs and empty homes surveyor to lead our surveying service to ensure our customers are kept safe and our homes continue to be well maintained. This is your opportunity to take ownership of challenging repairs, damp and mould issues, and major defects, delivering real results for our customers while balancing quality, compliance, and value for money.

We'd like to see experience of surveying within a social housing residential property environment, and you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of building maintenance and diagnostic techniques.

The overall purpose of the role is to deliver our repairs, damp and mould and empty homes surveying service. This will involve:

  • Conducting technical surveys and inspections across our housing stock for both repairs and empty homes
  • Inspecting damp and mould cases to diagnose the root cause and identify solutions to resolve the issue working in accordance with Awaab's Law
  • Ensuring homes are safe, hazard-free, and compliant with HHSRS standards
  • Collaborating with contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality repairs and improvements
  • Inspecting completed works for quality and compliance

This is an exciting time to become part of the Hundred Houses Society team and contribute to our future improvement plans.

Our mission is to provide good quality homes and services in Greater Cambridge that our customers value and we constantly strive to deliver better customer service. As well as focusing on delivering more new build homes, we are continually investing and modernising our customer's homes.

Our aspiration is to be a truly flexible employer. Although this is predominately a site-based role, we welcome discussion around hours and working pattern as part of the application process.

Other benefits:

  • A defined contributions pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Private medical insurance
  • 28 days annual leave each year, with an option to increase this in certain circumstances
  • A focus on learning and wellbeing

We encourage you to apply early as we may close the vacancy if we receive sufficient applicants that meet the essential skills and experience.
