Contract Type: Long-Term Freelance (32-52 Weeks)
Salary: Competitive, paid weekly 16.00 - 18.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP - Monday 24th November

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Banksman/Slinger who also holds a valid Traffic Marshal ticket to join a reputable main contractor on a major new-build leisure centre project in Ashford, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established team on a high-profile development. The ideal candidate needs to be an all-rounder in this regard (experience as banksman/ slinger/ gate man/ traffic marshal) with experience in labouring on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely directing plant, vehicles, and lifting operations on site
• Slinging and signalling for crane lifts
• Managing vehicle movements and ensuring safe access/egress routes
• Coordinating with site management and subcontractors
• Maintaining a safe and organised working area
• Adhering to site safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents

Requirements:

• Valid CPCS/NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Valid Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman ticket
• Previous experience working on large construction sites
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• PPE and right to work in the UK
