Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a dynamic team responsible for managing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of historic and modern properties. This 15-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects within a prestigious academic environment.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice on property management, acquisitions, leases, and development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting long-term strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and advise on the full lifecycle of property assets, including acquisition, disposal, and leasing.

  • Undertake valuations, feasibility studies, and project appraisals.

  • Provide professional guidance on compliance with property legislation and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants on development and refurbishment projects.

  • Support strategic planning and reporting for the estates portfolio.

About You:

  • Qualified surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) with relevant experience in estate/property management.

  • Strong knowledge of property law, lease management, and valuation principles.

  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
