Quantity Surveyor

Involve Recruitment are seeking an experienced Residential Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a large residential development in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing construction team and take ownership of cost control, procurement, and commercial reporting on a high-profile housing project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the residential scheme

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning

• Monitor project costs, variations, and commitments to maintain profitability

• Raise and review valuations, progress claims, and invoices

• Manage subcontractor procurement and contracts, including tender evaluation and negotiation

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and site documentation

• Report regularly to the Project Manager on cost, programme, and risk

• Support the site team with cost advice, risk management, and value engineering initiatives

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and contractual obligations

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential schemes

• Strong knowledge of construction costs, procurement, and contract management

• Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office and construction management software

• Ability to produce accurate reports and advise the project team on cost control

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; RICS accreditation desirable
