Involve Recruitment are seeking an experienced Residential Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a large residential development in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing construction team and take ownership of cost control, procurement, and commercial reporting on a high-profile housing project.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the residential scheme
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning
Monitor project costs, variations, and commitments to maintain profitability
Raise and review valuations, progress claims, and invoices
Manage subcontractor procurement and contracts, including tender evaluation and negotiation
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and site documentation
Report regularly to the Project Manager on cost, programme, and risk
Support the site team with cost advice, risk management, and value engineering initiatives
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and contractual obligations
Requirements / Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential schemes
Strong knowledge of construction costs, procurement, and contract management
Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills
Proficient in MS Office and construction management software
Ability to produce accurate reports and advise the project team on cost control
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; RICS accreditation desirable
