About the Role

We are working in partnership with a specialist external envelope contractor based near Warrington. They deliver technically demanding façade, cladding, stone restoration, and external systems work across a range of sectors. Their focus is on quality, precision, and long-term value, with projects valued up to £15m. The company works alongside leading main contractors and undertakes high-profile projects across the UK.

In the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll work closely with the team to support commercial activity, cost control, and tendering on high-spec projects.

What You ll Be Doing

• Assisting with cost estimating and tender submissions for external envelope works
• Preparing bills of quantities, cost plans, and take-offs
• Supporting site cost monitoring, variation analysis, and change control
• Collecting and analysing quotations from specialist suppliers and subcontractors
• Contributing to cost reports, forecasting, and commercial reviews
• Learning from experienced QSs and estimators in a technically rich environment

What You ll Bring

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to read or willingness to learn to interpret technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and an organised approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Competent with Excel; experience with QS or estimating software is a plus
• A genuine interest in external façade, restoration, or cladding work, and a desire to develop in that niche
