What you'll need to succeed
Track record of managing Mechanical services projects (HVAC) from a range of sectors from conception to completion.
From a mechanical engineering background
Full driving license
HNC in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services - (desirable but not essential)
Experience managing a team of onsite engineers
Able to manage multiple projects at a time
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:
* Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer or Senior Trades qualification or equivalent
* Significant MEP Design Management experience.
* Previous record of delivering MEP commercial, residential or hotel projects
* Pre-commissioning & system turnover experience
* Piping/HVAC and building services experience
* Experience in Process Piping, BMS Systems, HVAC, Clean & Dirty Utilities Piping, is desirable.
* Innovates and leads in mechanical/technical activity and challenges.
* Mentor and Coach to junior engineers and graduates
* Desired Requirements: Strong knowledge of HVAC and Piping installations as well as a solid understanding of Electrical Works on large Commercial or Hotel Projects

An International Real Estate Investment firm are looking for an experienced MEP Design Manager to work on commercial and hotel projects. This exciting client side MEP Design Manager position will require you to have client side or consultancy experience with global design standards and the ability to lead a dynamic team from a strategic point of view. Your in depth knowledge of MEP design from an international perspective is core to supporting this role.
As MEP Design Manager you will ideally be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) and will be responsible for planning, organising, leading, coordinating and controlling all activities concerned with the construction of Mechanical Piping / HVAC Projects.
You will participate in the conceptual development of engineering construction projects and lead the organization, scheduling and implementation.
You will be the key point of contact with the client and build and create strong, assertive and positive relationships.
You will also ensure that the site meets and exceeds environmental, health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Start-Up:
* Validate project, develop business plan, cost control system, cash flow and billable schedules
* You will be tasked with producing procurement plan, drawing / design plan, construction programme, s-curve and histogram
* Liaise with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues
* Develop project safety and quality plans
* Mobilise sub-contractors and labour in accordance with business plan
