Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, specialising in both residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and finishes, and delivering high-quality decorating work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Applicants must possess good communication skills and a valid driving licence to facilitate travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming prior to painting or decorating
• Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
• Ensuring all work meets safety standards and adheres to client specifications
• Managing time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines
• Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or issues
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and reporting any repairs needed
• Assisting with colour selection and providing professional advice on decorating options

Experience

• Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
• Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
• Valid driving licence is desirable to enable travel between multiple sites
• Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with clients and team members
• Strong communication skills are necessary for understanding project requirements and providing updates effectively
