Job Title: Estimating Manager

Location: South Woodford, Northeast London

Salary: Anticipated range £80,000 to £90,000 + package (dependent on experience)

As the business continues to expand, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function and contribute to the company s ongoing growth and success.

The Role

The Estimating Manager will oversee all aspects of the tendering and pre-construction process, develop robust pricing strategies and ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of bids. The role requires close collaboration with commercial, bid, and delivery teams to maintain a consistent approach to value, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimating team and function across multiple projects
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to support business objectives
• Review tender documentation and ensure accurate cost planning and submissions
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
• Promote best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement across all estimating activities

The Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar role within a main contracting environment
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of construction estimating
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
• Committed to fostering collaboration and maintaining high professional standards
